The two testers measure differently. Ookla counts speed tests people run themselves, which tend to be run when the signal is good; Opensignal measures in the background during normal use. Opensignal's figures are the better guide to everyday experience, and on them e& is ahead but du keeps a signal slightly more of the time.

What to compare for your own use

- Calling Bangladesh. Both networks sell international calling packs and both block most internet calling apps, so the cost of calling home is part of the price. Compare the minutes to Bangladesh in each pack.
- Prepaid or postpaid. Prepaid needs no contract and suits most workers. Postpaid can be cheaper per gigabyte and sometimes includes extras such as streaming.
- Home internet. If you also need home broadband, ask whether a bundle from the same company costs less than two separate plans.
