KPN vs Vodafone vs Odido: which Dutch network?

The Netherlands has three mobile networks: KPN, Vodafone and Odido (formerly T-Mobile Netherlands). In Opensignal's 2026 tests Odido came out on top. Because the country is small and well covered, price and the brand you choose usually matter more.

What the 2026 tests found

  • Opensignal's March 2026 Netherlands report named Odido the best network.
  • In Opensignal's European awards of February 2026, Odido led the European ranking for download speed at 147.8 Mbps.
  • All three networks cover almost the whole country, so differences show most indoors and at busy times.

What to check for your own use

  • Contract length. SIM-only plans by the month are common and leave you free to switch.
  • Roaming. Within the EU you can use your plan as at home; outside it, check the rates.
  • Calling abroad. Calls to countries outside the EU are often charged extra; calling apps over data avoid that.
  • Home internet bundles. KPN and Vodafone discount mobile plans when you also take their home internet.
